You do not have to be alone.  I am here for you.

When you feel there is no place to turn to for support, it can seem like a black well of hopelessness.  Futility and lack of validation can cause us to question our own reality.  Often significant others are unaware that we have these feelings and like friends and coworkers; they lack the insight to really help.  I am here for you.  I understand your pain and will help you find solid emotional ground on which to rebuild your life.

My approach is eclectic; you and I will choose the style best suited to your needs, preferences and emotional status.  You will tell me what goals you want to work on and collaboratively we will meet those goals.  I will take my lead from you and will be flexible so that you always feel in control of your therapy.

I will help you identify nonproductive and negative themes in your life and gently point them out for you to consider.  I can help you “erase negative thought tapes” and replace them with positive, uplifting messages.  Often these repetitive thoughts were established long ago.  What was once learned can be unlearned.

Values developed over a lifetime can conflict with the stark reality of difficult decisions about loved ones and requires support from someone who has had to make those difficult decisions.  These are painful moments in our lives and we need to be able to make rational decisions and keep our self-esteem and respect in place.

Life is a river that sometimes meanders and sometimes surges, with surprise twists and long straight-a-ways.  I can help you navigate your river of life.  You can find safe harbor in my virtual office.
